This closing will have a direct effect on those that will be out of work, but will probably have an effect on those indirectly involved such as those who deliver and unload the coal barges they receive.<br /><br />AEP's Muskingum River plant only 20 miles away from Gorsuch is a major polluter, but has received very little bad publicity compared to other plants in the region. In 2006, it was actually the second worst plant in the entire US in terms of sulfur dioxide emission rate (lbs SO2/MWh).
