Tibolt. We were on a 26 foot sailboat and they tied us on to the tugboat and we climbed on and they showed us around the boat while we went thru the lock. Still remember that experience as a teenager.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8513530212135845449.post-74914452368873355242016-09-01T11:54:01.465-04:002016-09-01T11:54:01.465-04:00Robert P. We also have the silver platter that was given at the event (and is shown in the film), and a commemorative box with the bottle used to launch it, if anyone's interested. I'd still love to get in contact with the poster who has the coasters, and the one who worked on it (I hope it wasn't troublesome!).fallawayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03991294042678268294noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8513530212135845449.post-46033079155312031772016-05-09T18:57:23.358-04:002016-05-09T18:57:23.358-04:00Thank you for posting! She's the last surviving child of Robert P. Tibolt, still going quite strong even after breaking her hip a few weeks ago.fallawayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03991294042678268294noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8513530212135845449.post-31016266405755435792016-05-09T15:42:16.523-04:002016-05-09T15:42:16.523-04:00I worked on the Tibolt from '90 to '98.I worked on the Tibolt from '90 to '98.Nivek Nitramhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02344155770716072668noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8513530212135845449.post-23871692217354440722016-02-17T15:13:31.691-05:002016-02-17T15:13:31.691-05:00Thanks very much for your reply. Still pretty wonderful if it's still in service, though my mother was sad to learn that her father's name was no longer on it. I found the invitation to the launching also, and a copy of the newspaper report - and also a silver plate with the occasion engraved. I've tried to get in touch with your other poster about the coasters, but haven't gotten through to the number.fallawayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03991294042678268294noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8513530212135845449.post-54314887209319868252016-01-14T14:32:33.367-05:002016-01-14T14:32:33.367-05:00The Tibolt was sold and renamed the Indiana. I'd love to know anything you've learned of the Robert P. Tibolt, named after my grandfather (I just posted above). We have photos of it being launched, and still have the bottle that was broken to christen it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8513530212135845449.post-4639344967201565362016-01-12T21:14:14.164-05:002016-01-12T21:14:14.164-05:00I'm one of Robert P.
