I spent a lot of time last week with my favorite Marine, who was home for a few days on leave. But he had to go back Friday, much as the rest of us didn't like it. But we get him back from Uncle Sam in two years.
I have been able to spend a little bit of time down by the Ohio River, and I put a few of those photos on my Flickr photostream.
Here is the Chuck Zebula waiting its turn at the Robert C. Byrd Locks and Dam.
This is the Galveston Bay passing Huntington.
And this is the Steven J. Mason at 311 Fleet.
Traffic has been slow on the river, at least when I've been down there. Maybe it will pick up soon.
