An old coal-fired power plant along the Ohio River may find new life as an ethane cracker.
Cracker plants are often touted for the Marcellus and Utica shale regions of the upper Ohio River, but no one has committed to buiding one yet.

M/V Daniel T. Martin
Yesterday in the few minutes before a brief downpour hit my part of the Ohio River, the Daniel T. Martin of Ingram Barge Co. passed the upper end of Huntington.
I like the design of this boat, one of the last designs St. Louis Ship used for several boats purchased by Ohio River Co., whose assets were acquired by Ingram about a dozen years ago. I don't know how it handles or how pleasant it is to live on, but from the shore it looks pretty nice.
