How green is my valley

Two evenings ago from Mound Hill Cemetery at Gallipolis, Ohio.

We've had a lot of rain this summer. One of the few good things about that is that the hills seem so much greener this year. Usually I like the first soaking rain of June, because the evening light and the fog rising from the hollows make the trees as green as they are all year. This year, it seems the trees have remained that rich, dark green longer. But I'm still ready for the hills to dry out.
