The dispatchers favored me for once. I'd hit another dry spell lately as I went down to the Ohio River looking for something to photograph. Today I got lucky and saw the Linda Reed of Crounse Corp. as it passed the mouth of the Guyandotte River.
I had my 21-month-old granddaughter with me, and the air was damp and chill, so I had to shoot from inside the car. But that allowed me to find a couple of new shooting spots that I was surprised I hadn't thought of before.
I had to tweak the photos a bit because the dampness in the air toyed with my exposure meter. I like the colors of the first one better, but the second one is more accurate as to how the scene looked in real life, although not totally.
