The annual Tribute to the River at Point Pleasant WV is past. I didn't make it up there today, as I had a home improvement chore that needed to be done. But I did run up there yesterday after work and got a few shots as the sun set and darkness took over. Here are a few.
First, the late afternoon sun as seen through the sternwheel of the Mudsock.
Here are three shots taken from the stern of the Nemacolin. My thanks to Nemcolin owner Brian Patterson for giving me access to that part of his boat to get the pics.
And a few more.
I took that last one with my phone. It overexposed the scene, but when I started to darken it I didn't like how it looked, so I left it alone.
The next two sternwheel festivals in my part of the Ohio River are at Marietta next weekend and in Pomeroy the weekend of the 23rd. I probably won't make it to Marietta because of the distance, but I do like my chances of being in Pomeroy.
There may be others, but I don't know of them. Let me know if you know.
