... took advantage of the situation to get a photo or two.
Has anyone else ever gone out to get fall foliage pictures only to realize they forgot to put the memory card back in their camera? So it's just me? OK. It's a good thing phones can handle that chore nowadays.
If anyone was asking, these were all taken at old Lock and Dam 27, Ohio side. The Rome Towmship trustees and others have done a good job cleaning up the park and making it a much nicer place.
It was really, really good before, but it's better now.

The Mary M. Miller passed through my area today on its way to what social media says is its five-year Coast Guard inspection. The boat is one of two operated by Belle of Louisville Riverboats.
Before the Mary got to my first shooting spot, I heard a noise above and to my right. A heron left a tree here on the Ohio side and flew over to West Virginia.
I wasn't set up to shoot birds in flight, plus it was moving away from me, so this was the best I could do at the moment.
