M/V O. Nelson Jones at Huntington

 I'm not a perfectionist, but this photo disappointed me. It could have been better, but it wasn't. I tried it in color and black and white.



Not bad, but not what I was hoping for. It happens. From what I hear, it's why the real pro photographers don't turn loose of everything they shoot, because in any instance where you shoot a large number of pictures, some will turn out to be duds. A photojournalist told me he would shoot an entire roll of film in hopes of getting one or two good photos.

This time of year, with spring sunlight but bare trees, makes getting a good boat picture more difficult because of the background. In about four weeks we will have green hills, and that will help immensely. Add to that how I had a couple of camera adjustments wrong, and ... it could have been better.

When I see the boat again next month, I will try again.
