Short version: It was great. The organizers and the participants did themselves good. I wish I could be there tomorrow to tour the mv. Valvoline, which I got to ride from the Belleville Locks and Dam to South Point OH in the spring of 1988, but I have to fulfill my family obligations sometime.

Hi my name is Adam i work out on the river as a 1st Mate and was just reading your blog and noticed you were in Point Pleasant for the Maritime Days last year. I was one of the deckhands on the J.S. Lewis. I just wanted to say how wonderful i think it is that you and your son love the river so much and are so interested in it. Keep up the wonderful work with your pics and this blog.
