Nightfall was just about complete when the boat moved slowly up the river past Huntington WV.
The original image was pretty noisy, and the letters on the stack logo and on the nameboard didn't show up well. When I ran the image through some denoise software, it didn't help any. But this was the Ron Nokes.

Hey Jim, I stumbled upon your blog here and I'm enjoying going through your photos to see what vessels I've been on. I've worked on the river for years so I recognize many of the vessels that you have pictures of. And quite the coincidence, the M/V Ron Nokes is currently bringing two barges to my area for a survey and inspection. I will be working with the vessel either today or tomorrow!
